Jay Kinney, by his own testimony, felt led by God to be a part of

the Cross of Life Church since its inception in February 2005. He has

been a faithful servant and almost always "brings someone with him" as

Pastor Brian is always encouraging us to do.

 

As part of the ceremony in ordaining Jay into an official capacity as elder

of Cross of Life, he offered himself by signing to a song about having the

Father's heart and not straying from the path God has mapped out for

him. To hear this very inspirational and moving song, you may return to

the home page and download a copy of Feb. 17, 2007's sermon. It is

towards the end of the recording.

 

After the song, Pastor Brian and Pastor Joe anointed Jay Kinney with

oil and laid hands on him to commission him into the ministry to which

he had been called by God and the church and to which he agreed to.

To conclude the service, Pastor Brian gave Elder Jay Kinney a

certificate.

A final note: Cross of Life Church has been praying as a body since it

began that God would appoint elders who would come alongside the

pastor for purposes of encouragement, accountability, strength, and

support. Jay Kinney is the first to receive and fill that call at our church.
